The Crown Mentorship Foundation (CMF) Learners Mentorship Program is a structured four-month mentorship initiative designed to support Black high school and post-secondary students.
The Newcomers Project will be geared towards newcomers and/or Not in Employment, Education, or Training (NEET) youths. This program empowers participants by addressing systemic barriers to education, employment, and social integration through mentorship, networking opportunities, and skills development.
The program will run in two cohorts in 2025:
- Cohort 1: April – July 2025
- Cohort 2: September – December 2025
Protégés participants will be matched with experienced mentors from various industries to provide personalized guidance. Participants will engage in monthly mentorship circles (facilitated group workshops) that equip them with the knowledge, confidence, and skills needed to navigate their careers successfully. Additionally, protégés will gain access to CMF’s extensive professional network, career resources, and ongoing mentorship opportunities beyond the program.
Our Program objectives are to:
- Established mentorship relationships and professional networks as protégés will build valuable professional relationships that extend beyond the program.
- Protégés will gain skills in networking, emotional intelligence, and strategic planning.
- Protégés will leave with a clear strategy for achieving their career and educational goals.
- Protégés gain knowledge of Canadian work culture and employability skills.
- Improved confidence and preparedness for job applications and interviews.
