MENTORSHIP
In line with ABEEL and Crown Mentorship Foundation’s core values, we believe that a future where anti-Black racism is eradicated in the workplace begins with small steps at the lowest rungs of the corporate ladder. Consequently, through our extensive network of partner organizations, we link our youth participants with mentors from whom they can learn positive values, build self-esteem, and receive encouragement to pursue their dreams with courage. Youth are encouraged to embrace their identity and grow as individuals who will later shape their communities positively.
Program runs between February to August, encompassing two mentoring cohorts (2 months each). Each cohort will welcome a different mix of participating mentors and youths.
Organizations collaborate with the ABEEL team to build a list of interested mentors. The selected mentors work with a small group of mentees from our current and alumni student pool (3-5 youths per cohort). As part of the experience, there are organized company visits .
